The Big 3 Clutter Problems

Last Calls for Clutter! – Reader Survey

A while ago, I surveyed readers to find out what their biggest clutter problems are.

Here are as decided by readers of Declutter Day Tips.

Finding Time to Declutter

Readers felt that it was not always easy to find time to reduce clutter in their homes. With their busy daily schedules – that is, working at full time jobs, taking the kids to school and after activities, and time spent on weekends socializing with family and friends, not much time is left to declutter and organize our homes.

Deciding what to do with all that Clutter

Readers felt that it was difficult to make decisions on what to do with all that “clutter”. ie. whether to keep an item, whether to reuse an item, whether to recycle it, or whether to throw it away.

Perfectionism

Lastly, but not least, striving for perfectionism was a stumbling block in trying to reduce clutter in the home and get organized. Readers expressed that they often found it difficult to get started because they wanted to achieve a perfect outcome. So what often happens is that they don’t get started at all.

Best Regards,
Debra
